Selmer Thunderbird Twin 50 "Truvoice" Amplifier from the 1960s.
The "Thunderbird Twin 50" was released around the same time as the more common "Zodiac Twin 30", but is rarer, and has a few extra's. For example, it has separate treble and bass controls for both channels, not just "tone" like the Zodiac. It has 2 channels, and like the Zodiac Twin 30, it has Tremelo built in, with the famous "blinking eye" valve mounted at the top front of the Amp. But the Thunderbird Twin 50 also has a 2 spring Reverberation unit (for both channels) built in as well.
Both the Tremelo and the Reverb work well, and are switchable via the original twin switch foot pedal.
Channel 1: has 6 selector switches which offer preset EQ, namely: Contra Bass, Bass, Middle, Treble, High Treble, & Rotary Control. It still has the original Castor wheels, and leather handles, (which are showing signs of wear though) It is also 2 x 50 Watts RMS output, (as apposed to the 2 x 30 Watts output of the Zodiac), with the option for a 15 Ohm extension speaker at the back.
It has the two -tone crocodile skin cabinet cover which does have some nicks & tears here and there, and the original Selmer cloth front which is in good condition with no obvious rips or tears.
The speakers are Celestion G12M 25 watt elements.
