Marshall JMP "Plexi" 50W 1968 w/ Marshall Model 2034 120 Watt 8x10" Cabinet Ex-Petri Walli of Kingston Wall
A stack steeped in Finnish rock legend. This 1968-modified JMP Marshall and its accompanying 8x10" cabinet represent a pivotal chapter in Nordic music history.
The head and cabinet belonged and was used by Petri Walli, the frontman of Kingston Wall band before getting its new home with Esa Holopainen.
Kimmo Aroluoma serviced the amplifier and it was thoroughly checked before the Music Of Kingston Wall tour by Von Hertzen Brothers.
When the 8x10" cabinet was opened in 2020, it revealed the signature of original owner Harri Koski, the man behind the Mad Professor brand. Also Jim Marshall's own hand-written signature is present, a practice from Marshall's earliest manufacturing days.
This was Petri Walli's secondary stack during the Kingston Wall I and II album era. Documented at Kaivopuisto in 1990, captured in YLE recordings from April–August 1992, and featured on the Kingston Wall Kingtime DVD. A photograph taken at Tavastia club in May 1993 captures the rig in action.
The amplifier entered the current collection in 1996 and has remained in continuous use ever since, appearing on multiple Amorphis studio recordings. A tangible artifact of Finnish rock's golden age!
Comes with COA signed by Esa Holopainen.
