HMS Mercury is a so-called "student-model", i.e. a budget guitar. Handcrafted guitars are never cheap, but in these Mercury model guitars, HMS Guitars' Christian consciously tried to strip away everything extra so that the price could be lowered below the usual pain point. The end result is an electric guitar with many features you can find from early 50's American workhorses such as the Fender Telecaster.
Body is pine and the neck is birch - Finnish woods. The fingerboard is cherry from Sweden or eucalyptus wood from Spain. The hardware is sourced from Asia. Tuners are Gotoh, Kluson or Wilkinson products.
Pickups are HMS Guitars own production. Hand wound "ScaT-RoLL" pickups are honestly bang for the buck.
Mercury guitars are shipped without case. Weight 3.2 kg. Scale 25".
