Gibson SJ-200 Early 50`s Golden Era Custom Shop Adirondack Natural 2024
Only a Gibson is good enough - The Gibson J-200 EARLY 50s Golden Era Custom Shop Adirondack - Natural - a guitar inspired by the 1950s!
Limited-edition Gibson J-200 EARLY 50s Golden Era Custom Shop Adirondack - Authentic Vintage Natural guitar, the "King of the Flat-Tops," showcases vintage-inspired details from Gibson's golden era. Classic workhorse materials include a specially selected Adirondack spruce top (red spruce ) and select premium maple for the back and sides, all in solid wood construction. The multi-ply binding on the top and back is intentionally understated, while the custom smooth vintage-look finish and gold vintage tuners further emphasize the guitar's 1950s vintage aesthetic.
Adirondack spruce (also known as red spruce) is considered the finest tonewood for a guitar top. One particular feature elevates its already impressive sound to an even higher level. Adirondack spruce, with its higher density yet lower weight, acts like a booster, making the tone more direct, broader, and more voluminous. This makes this Custom Shop instrument not only a visual but also a sonic marvel. Adirondack underscores the rich tone without being overpowering and represents the pinnacle of guitar construction, offering superb responsiveness and agility with a captivating resonance, rich and beautifully defined bass, subdued mids, and crystal-clear highs. In short, the J-200 EARLY 50s Golden Era Custom Shop Adirondack is a unique "favorite guitar" from Gibson for all players who appreciate a truly special sonic experience.
But Gibson has also crafted its J-200 with "durability – a guitar for life" in mind, guaranteeing years of playing enjoyment. The fretboard edges have been rounded for an even better feel, and thanks to the patented PLEK process, the string action is more perfect than ever right out of the box. The fretboard and bridge are treated with a finishing oil that is even more durable and enhances the natural resonances of the woods.

Jörg Hermann, in close collaboration with the Gibson Custom Shop in Bozeman, Montana, designed this truly timeless version of an EARLY J-200.
