Fender Telecaster TL52-75 MIJ 1987
Japanese made reissues of vintage Fender instruments have long been lauded as some of the highest quality and most vintage spec'd guitars you can buy outside of the Fender Custom Shop. As with many rarer vintage Fender guitars, players have turned to Japanese made Fender guitars to get period correct vintage spec instruments due to their craftsmanship and amazing value for money.
This 1987 Fender Japan TL-52-75 is a great example of an 80's Japanese made Fender instrument. As a '52 reissue, the neck is full and fat, yet still very playable and nowhere near as severe a 50's style profile as other 52 reissues.
The bridge pickup has been changed to Seymour Duncan.
As with all Fender Japan models, this guitar is finished exceptionally, with a huge amount of attention to detail. The screws are all flatheads as they would have been in '52, and the guitar also features a traditional 3 saddle bridge.
This guitar also features period correct Kluson style tuners, domed control knobs and a single ply black pick guard to complete that early 50's Telecaster look, and is finished in a 50's style Blonde that shows of the striking one piece body grain.
