Eiko Electric Sound´s Harvest Drive is a very special fuzz pedal because it is a mild fuzz. The words "mild" and "fuzz" are rarely seen in the same sentence, but - depending on the guitar used - Harvest Drive alone practically stays in the overdrive style spheres.
This is a hybrid fuzz with one germanium transistor (OC141) and one silicon based transistor (BC107B). The effect offers three controls – gain (distortion), filter (tone) and level (output level).
Eiko Electric Sound's Harvest Drive's main idea is that the pedal works together with another distortion pedal so that it adds fuzz-style jaggedness and a "feeling of danger" to the sound of a standard overdrive or distortion pedal. It is very unique, but at the same time a really functional and stylish solution for many signal chains.
