Released in the mid-1980s as a replacement for the OD-1, the BOSS OD-2 Turbo Overdrive was designed to offer two distinct modes. The first replicates the classic OD-1 character, while the Turbo mode provides increased gain and distortion. A tone control was added to give users more precise control over the sound. The OD-2 is built entirely with discrete components, with no integrated circuits in the signal path.
