Ok folks. This one has got the story. We have heard this from its previous owner, and the responsibility is now transferred to you, dear reader.
The guitar has an urban legend that matches its speed, namely that this specimen was once owned by a former guitarist of WigWam in Stockholm in the late 1980s, where according to the story, his friend, a certain Yngwie Malmsteen, scalloped out the fretboard with his own hands, or so the legend goes.
Two people have already confirmed this relationship to our client. Since there is no official proof, this only affects the price as much as a legend, or not at all.
The guitar is a totally "Yngwied", i.e. a genuine 1979 big-headstock Fender Stratocaster, reliced and yellowed by time, with a scalloped fretboard, brass saddle, original bridge, retrofitted Dimarzio HS-3 at the bridge and HS-4 at the neck, original pickup in the middle. The tone wires are in, but disconnected. The volume pot is Yngwie's own speed-pot and because more is more, there is a relevant Ferrari sticker on the back. Also replaced with new stainless steel frets in the 2020s. Radius 9.5.
Tweed case.
