Purchased by previous owner decades ago. It's a 1959 ash bodied, gold hardware Fender Stratocaster Mary Kaye.

At some point in its history the body was "refreshed" and yes that means retouched from blonde to blonde. Under the pickguard and in particular in the pickup cavities the original finish remains untouched. The guitar has 4-59 body date.

Being an early 59 the neck does not have a pencil date, though it's clearly a slab. Guitar also has a 9 hole mint green pickguard, which is absolutely immaculate. 1959 was a transitional year for the Strat and the 3-ply guards came in.

The neck finish is original and this instrument has been re-fretted for perfect playability. All the pickups have their original windings. Original knobs, plates, trem, 3-way switch, case. This Strat has excellent honk and incredible tone throughout. Sounds glorious.

The refreshed body by Joe Rigging means it's  retouched from blonde to blonde without sanding the body. It's a see-through, so it's more like an overspray. Some trace of the previous blonde can be found with black light under the "refresh".
